Voordeelmarkt is the first ASPOS user to benefit from the pan-European Smart Checkout of nShift (formerly Transsmart). Webshop builder First Focus has fully integrated this Smart Checkout with the Voordeelmarkt webshop
Do you recognize this? Your customers want to decide for themselves when and how their webshop orders are delivered. This entails the necessary logistical challenges As an e-commerce manager, how can you increase conversion and keep back-end costs low? Right, put the customer behind the wheel!
Menno Flikkema, DGA of First Focus explains how it works:: “With the help of Transsmart, the Voordeelmarkt configures the Smart Checkout module of nShift with the desired carriers and delivery options. In the checkout of the webshop, the consumer chooses the delivery or collection method of his preference and the associated shipping costs are determined dynamically. The consumer’s choice is stored in the customer order in ASPOS. After the order has been prepared in ASPOS, the information is automatically sent to Transsmart, without the ASPOS user having to enter a manual need to make adjustments.”
Frank Kolkman, Finance & Control of De Voordeelmarkt: “The advantages of this Smart Checkout integration are countless. All available delivery options from the various carriers are immediately visible in the checkout, as are all local collection points complete with opening hours. Because the customer can choose both customer satisfaction and conversion increased. Our own stores have also been added as collection points and we are using this as part of our omnichannel strategy.”
The costs per shipping option are calculated automatically and the logistics information is immediately included with the order. This keeps costs low and prevents errors and expensive returns.
