Always Operational: ASPOS POS with Offline Functionality

The ASPOS POS is designed to continue functioning during outages (both local and central). This ensures that your store can remain open, even in the event of connection problems. Here, you can find out what is needed to activate offline mode and what functionalities are available during an outage.

Preparation for Offline Use

To use the offline functionality, certain settings in ASPOS need to be configured:

  • Allow offline operation: Activate this option in the Basic Settings tab of your location.
  • Local users: Create a local user. Without this, offline use is not possible.

Automatic Offline Synchronization

Every night, ASPOS synchronizes essential data for offline use, such as:

  • Items: All items with associated prices.
  • Promotions: Current offers.
  • Users: Local accounts, including permissions and PIN codes.

What is Unavailable During Disruptions?

During outages (whether local or central), certain functionalities are temporarily unavailable, including:

  • Card payments, gift cards, and e-vouchers.
  • Customer management, including customer orders and loyalty points.
  • External integrations such as Dutch Lottery and OV-chipkaart.

Always Up-to-Date

Once the connection is restored, the POS automatically uploads all offline transactions to the server, including accurate time logs. This ensures a seamless transition back to online operation. With ASPOS, your store keeps running, even during unexpected challenges.
