Last month, Valk Solutions finalised the move from its private cloud server parks to the North-C data centres.
The relocation project was carried out in 3 steps. During the first weekend, the first half of the servers were moved. In the following week, the internet and VPN connections were renewed. During the second weekend, the second half of the servers followed. Everything during the early hours so that customers would not be inconvenienced in the event of setbacks.
Thomas Jansen, Manager DevOps at Valk Solutions: “However well we had prepared ourselves, it remains exciting to dismantle and move a working configuration. Especially when you know how many mission-critical transactions are processed for customers. Because third parties are involved in the chain, we weren’t in control of everything ourselves, but everyone was helpful, and the move was completed on schedule.”
North-C offers the premium facilities that Valk Solutions needs for its customers. With 11 data centres spread across the country, North-C is the largest provider of data centres and connectivity for the business market. Especially a professional service organization is valuable in guaranteeing service guarantees.
The ASPOS server park forms the privately managed cloud where ASPOS applications are hosted for our customers. The set-up is completely duplicated at two physically separate locations in our country so that in the event of problems at one location, the other location can take over seamlessly. The server park is audited periodically and meets the requirements of ISO 27001 and ISAE 3402.
